Gardenesque
Named after the garden design style 'Gardenesque', fashioned by John Claudius Loudon in 1823, a massively influential figure in the horticultural world.
Around this time, many people were starting to feel that the 'formal' style was too rigid and the 'naturalistic' style was too shabby.
Gardenesque was a combination of formal and naturalistic.
In this style, attention was given to the individual plant and placement in the best conditions for them to grow to their potential.
